Nonprofit Cloud Consultant (NPC)
The Salesforce Certified Nonprofit Cloud Consultant (NPC) credential is for consultants who implement the modern Nonprofit Cloud platform for nonprofits. This is not an admin exam and it is not a test of NPSP, the legacy managed package. NPC is built on the Industries platform and uses Person Accounts, permission set licenses, and a completely different data model. If you have an NPSP background, expect the exam to push you on the distinctions between the two products. The highest-weight topic is Feature Configuration at 35%, but Solution Design at 32% is what separates consultants from admins. You need to know when to use Fundraising vs. Program Management vs. Grantmaking, and when to reach for OmniStudio or Data Processing Engine vs. standard Flow.
3-Step Path to Passing
- 1
Complete the NPC Consultant Trailmix
Work through the official Salesforce Trailmix first. It covers stakeholder management, fundraising, program management, and grantmaking. This is the single best starting point for mapping Trailhead content to exam objectives. - 2
Attempt Practice Exams
I recommend my own practice exams, but I have linked other options in the Study Resources section below. The scenario density on this exam is high, so practice questions are essential for building the decision-making speed you need. - 3Schedule when you are consistently scoring above 75% on practice exams. There is no need to book far in advance.
