A B2C Commerce customer group is a Commerce-side segmentation construct that controls merchandising rules (promotions, pricing, content), while a Marketing Cloud subscriber list or data extension is an engagement-side construct that controls who receives email sends. There is no native direct sync between the two; the recommended integration path routes through Data Cloud, which ingests B2C Commerce shopper profiles, activates unified segments to Marketing Cloud as data extensions, and pushes those segment memberships back to Commerce as dynamic customer group conditions.
