A canonical data model, identified as the Customer 360 Data Model or standard canonical data model, provides a unified structure for organizing ingested data. Source-specific data resides in Data Lake Objects (DLOs) and requires mapping to Data Model Objects (DMOs) to be used for segmentation and activation. This harmonization enables identity resolution and creates a complete view of customer data from multiple systems.
