Practice Question

Explainer

A dashboard subscription tells Salesforce to refresh a dashboard automatically on a schedule you set. It then emails the refreshed results to you and to anyone else you add. You no longer have to open the dashboard and refresh it by hand; the latest numbers arrive in your inbox.
Core information
  • In Lightning Experience, a user who wants refreshed dashboard results by email on a regular schedule subscribes to the dashboard instead of refreshing it manually. For example, someone who starts each week by reviewing the Sales Overview dashboard can have it refreshed and in their inbox every Monday at 8:00 AM.
More details and nuances
  • Recipients see the same report data as the person running the report, not their own usual view. The emailed results can therefore show them more or less data than they normally see in Salesforce.
