The Cache scope is a client-side mechanism that stores and reuses responses from repeated outbound calls, reducing processing load and network interactions. It operates by generating a key for each request payload, checking an ObjectStore for a match, and returning cached data when available. Unlike the server-side HTTP Caching policy, which operates at the API Gateway level, the Cache scope executes directly within the Mule application flow to manage caching logic and storage configuration.
