A Mule domain is a shared resource project that bundles global configurations, such as connector settings and scheduler pools, for multiple applications running on the same Mule runtime engine. It centralizes resource management to improve memory efficiency and enable features like port sharing across apps. Domains are designed exclusively for on-premises, hybrid, and Private Cloud Edition deployments and are not available in CloudHub or Runtime Fabric.
