Explainer

A subscription emails a PNG or PDF snapshot of a view or workbook on a schedule, so recipients don't have to sign in to Tableau Server. When you subscribe a group, Tableau Server adds each current member as an individual subscriber at that moment. Later changes to the group's membership do not update the subscription.
Core information
  • Workbook owners, project leaders with an appropriate site role, and administrators can subscribe other users who have permission to view the content.
More details and nuances
  • Users added to the group after the subscription is created do not receive it. To include them, an admin must re-subscribe the group.
