  • Padding is a setting on an object, but a Blank object is its own dashboard item. To add padding, select the object and use the Outer Padding and Inner Padding settings in the Layout pane. To add a Blank object, drag Blank from the Objects section onto the dashboard, the same way you add any other object.

  • Padding can also remove space. Setting outer padding to 0 on adjoining items eliminates the gaps between them, which gives a continuous, seamless look across those layout elements.
