A developer sandbox is a free Enterprise org environment for building and testing Slack apps without putting production at risk. It is a network of two or more Slack workspaces, and you get it through the Slack Developer Program. It has the same features as all Enterprise plans, but each feature comes with limits on scale, lifespan, data, and distribution.
Core information
  • A developer sandbox is an Enterprise org that lets you build against all Slack features at no cost. Use it for development and app testing, not as a production workspace.
More details and nuances
  • Discovery API enablement is not available on developer sandboxes unless you are part of the partner program.
