User acceptance testing (UAT) is the last stage before go-live: end users and other stakeholders test a project or enhancement in a sandbox to confirm that what was requested is actually delivered and the system is ready for business use. A business analyst typically guides that work by planning who tests what, coordinating execution, and collecting pass or fail outcomes. Managing the results means obtaining official written sign-off, or stopping the release, so gaps are found before production.
