Strategic drivers are a customer's strategies, goals, initiatives, and challenges. You determine them during customer discovery so the scope of a project or of business analysis stays tied to a confirmed business need, not a vague wish or a single screen. Challenge framing turns those drivers into a shared definition of success; scoping then converts that definition into time, team, and deliverables.
