A capability map (also called a capability model or industry blueprint) lists a company's high-level process areas so you can decide what to analyze and see that work in the context of the whole business. Salesforce Business Capability Maps add the business drivers and capabilities behind a transformational vision, plus high-level product positioning. A process map is a different artifact: a visual of how work actually runs (the steps, their inputs, who is responsible, and how success is measured), drilled down far enough to improve the process and gather requirements.
