A trigger can call public methods on other Apex classes instead of keeping all of the work in the trigger body. That move reuses logic, keeps triggers smaller and easier to maintain, and is how you use object-oriented Apex from a database event. The usual pattern is to read trigger context, then call a public static method and pass it the records that fired the trigger.
