The Atlas reasoning engine is the system that takes a user's message and walks it through a fixed sequence: land on a starting subagent, resolve that subagent's instructions, prompt a large language model (LLM), then act or reply. It exists so Agentforce agents can enforce business rules as code while still using an LLM for conversation. Each follow-up from the user restarts that path behind the scenes, so every turn is a new pass through the engine rather than a free-form continuation.
