Agentforce uses one org-wide model option so the reasoning engine knows which models to run for every agent, with Salesforce Default as the recommended managed mix. You can switch that option to AWS-Hosted Anthropic or Google Gemini, then override it on a specific agent or subagent when that job needs a different mix of speed and reasoning. Turning a model provider off in Setup blocks that provider’s models across agents and other generative AI features; choosing a different Agentforce option alone does not.

  • From Setup, search Audit, Analytics, and Monitoring, open Einstein Audit, Analytics, and Monitoring Setup, and choose an option under Select the Model for Agentforce; that selection applies to all Agentforce agents.
More details and nuances
  • Model override is available only for agents created in the new Agentforce Builder, and Google Gemini is supported only for those new-Builder agents, so do not select Google Gemini if you have active agents created in the legacy Builder.
