Prompt Builder and other embedded generative AI features can use a catalog of Salesforce-managed large language models (LLMs) from several providers, and those managed models are enabled by default. Agentforce does not expose that full catalog: you pick one org-wide model option, and Salesforce maps it to a specific mix. To stop a provider or a specific configuration from being used, an admin can turn the provider off in Setup or hide the configuration in AI Models so it cannot be selected in Prompt Builder.

Core information
  • Prompt Builder and related embedded features share Salesforce-managed models from Amazon Bedrock (Amazon Nova, Anthropic Claude, and NVIDIA Nemotron), OpenAI and Azure OpenAI, and Google Vertex AI (Gemini). Those managed models are enabled by default so you can start without bringing your own.

  • Turning off a model provider can stop Agentforce agents, prompt templates, and other generative AI features that already use that provider’s models, so test and verify in a sandbox before you change production.
