Prompt defense system policies are instructions the Einstein Trust Layer sends with a prompt so the large language model (LLM) behaves in a trusted way. They exist to limit hallucinations, which are answers the model invents without a basis, and to lower the chance of unintended or harmful output. They are also one defense against jailbreaking and prompt injection, where someone tries to override those instructions and make the model do something it was not designed to do.
