Context variables tell an Agentforce Service agent who is in the conversation, but they do not decide which Salesforce records that agent can read or change. Data access is governed only by the Salesforce user the agent is actually running as, which is the logged-in person for Employee agents, or a dedicated agent user for Service and Lead Nurturing agents unless credential-based user verification is enabled. Because knowing a contact ID is not the same as applying that customer's sharing rules, a Service agent running as the agent user must be scoped on purpose.
