In Agent Optimization, an intent is a bundle of turns in one session that all address the same user request, which is what the person was trying to get done. After the session closes, an intent pipeline extracts those moments, then a clustering pipeline groups similar requests across active agents and labels the groups with cluster tags. Only tagged intents appear in the session trace, the step-by-step record you use to see how the agent handled that request.
