Grounding is how a prompt template gets Salesforce data into the prompt so the LLM can write personalized output from current CRM values instead of one hardcoded example. Merge fields are placeholders for record fields that are replaced with real data when the template resolves. When a value needs logic first, not just a field lookup, a template-triggered prompt flow runs dynamic logic and actions, then merges its output text into the resolved prompt.
