Dashboard filters let viewers apply different data perspectives to one dashboard instead of keeping several dashboards that each show one slice. Each filter has a name, an operator, and values from fields on the dashboard's source reports. After a user selects a filter, that filtered view is remembered the next time they open the dashboard.
