Delayed declarative automation does not run in the same transaction as the triggering save; Salesforce parks the work until a clock, a record date, or another resume event fires. To diagnose a wait that never ran, ran late, or vanished, open the monitor that matches the engine: Time-Based Automations for time-dependent workflow actions and scheduled paths, paused flow interviews for Process Builder scheduled actions, and the Automation app Monitor tab for paused or failed Flow interviews. Those pages show what is still pending, let you cancel or resume it, and tell you whether Salesforce postponed it, canceled it because criteria failed, or kept it after you deactivated the automation.
