Orders let a sales team record a customer request to receive products or services at a known quantity, price, and date. An administrator turns that capability on from Order Settings in Setup, then chooses which page layouts show orders and which users can work them. Additional Order Settings control negative and zero product quantities, Classic reduction orders for returns on activated orders, and orders that run in Salesforce while products and price books stay in an external platform.
