A chart is a picture of a grouped report: bars, columns, lines, slices, or points that make comparisons, shares, and trends easier to read than the table. You add one to a summary or matrix report, pick a type that matches the question, and can plot more than one number on the same chart when two measures need to be compared together. Lightning dashboards can reuse that report chart as a widget, but the widget still follows dashboard limits and shows fewer data points than the report chart itself.
