Schedule-triggered Flow and Batch Apex both process many records on a clock instead of waiting for someone to save a record. A schedule-triggered flow is the declarative option: an autolaunched flow that starts only at the time and frequency you set and can run one interview per matching record. Batch Apex is the programmatic option: a developer-written job that chunks large, complex, long-running work into separate transactions when Flow cannot cover the volume or the logic.
