A Salesforce campaign is a record that acts as a container for one marketing initiative, grouping the people you target with the results of that effort. Teams use it so they can stop tracking ads, emails, events, and similar work in spreadsheets and instead see who was reached, who responded, and what open deals and closed revenue followed. You track that on the campaign record, through the people added as campaign members and their statuses, through optional parent-child campaign groups, and through built-in campaign reports.
