Dashboard chart types and settings control how a dashboard widget turns source-report data into a picture people can scan. You choose a type that matches the story, such as comparison, change over time, share of a total, ordered flow, correlation, or progress to a goal, then pick which groupings and summaries appear and how they are scaled, sorted, labeled, and colored. The chart starts from the report’s groupings and summaries, and you can override some of those choices so the widget focuses on the data you need to share.
