Account, opportunity, and case teams attach named collaborators to one record and grant them extra access so they can work that account, opportunity, or case together. Unlike organization-wide defaults, roles, and sharing rules, which apply in broad patterns, a team grant is tied to a specific record and a specific set of people. Account and opportunity owners can save a personal default team that is added automatically; case teams use admin-defined roles and predefined teams that assignment rules can apply.
