Salesforce automatically archives old finished tasks and events so everyday lists stay focused, but those records stay in the org and can still be found and changed. Archiving covers events that ended more than 365 days ago, closed tasks due more than 365 days ago, and closed tasks with no due date that were created more than 365 days ago. You retrieve them from a record’s activity history or timeline, from exported data, or with an API query that includes archived records, not from reports.
