Primary Campaign Source is the opportunity field that names the campaign Salesforce treats as responsible for generating the deal. It exists so you can credit one campaign for an opportunity and report the business that campaign produced. You can enter the campaign when you create the opportunity, let Salesforce fill it from a contact or a converted lead, or choose it from campaigns already marked as influential.
